Halle Berry is amplifying the promotions surrounding her upcoming TV show, Extant.
The Oscar winner covers the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly where she promotes her lead character, Molly Woods.
Extant, set to air on CBS, is produced Steven Spielberg, and follows the narrative of astronaut Molly Woods.
Berry told EW about taking the role:
I was being offered parts that I felt like I had done before. They weren’t exciting enough for me to leave my family for four months. I realized some of the best writing, especially for women, was on television.
The minute I started to read (the ‘Extant’ script), I couldn’t put it down. I thought, “Wow. This is different.” It’s innovative. Molly is a strong female character, which I really love to play. Molly is a complicated woman with a complicated family.
