Florida reporter Chris Shepherd confirmed the news by announcing the birth on his Twitter account: “Tennis star Serena Williams gives birth to a baby girl weighing 6 pounds, 13 ounces. Mom and baby doing well,” he writes.
He later noted he received the information from a hospital source.
Serena was reportedly admitted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday (Aug 30) and induced on Thursday night (Aug 31).
